This exhibition highlights certain qualities we have come to expect of a unique and serious body of work. Maclean’s ongoing engagement with ideas about art and creation here includes poetry as a means to address historically recurring themes.
Maclean’s Seasons are hanging gardens where prolonged blossoming mutates into colourful forms. They are presences shaped with joy and are at once actual and fleeting. They celebrate as much the calls to rest as the signs that mark their mortality.
