Throughout her research, the tenacity of Betty Goodwin remains exemplary: focused upon truth, she drew lines on paper – with grand gestures and also erasures - echoing painful losses; her desire : to link the essence of the human condition (hopes, fears, anxieties, repulsions, etc) to heartfelt enrichment and nobility of spirit.
In times of opportunism and apathy, the specific relevance of Goodwin, and her powerful call for brotherly love, remains as a beacon.
TO SEE THE BLINDNESS is celebratory. It bears witness to the oeuvre of an artist who wishes everyone to hear and to see.
